Her Journey Is Complete and Goodbyes Are Hard
Her journey began on a Tuesday morning in September. Born in Washington DC.
A baby girl then follows a path through 72 years of life.
Along this path, she graduates high school, meets her soulmate Gave birth to three children.
Survived a brain aneurysm in 1979 at age 33. Her children were ages ten, eleven, and I was twelve. Those children helped her get through her remaining 39 years of life and her years as a widow.
She shared in her children’s joy and sorrow as they grew up and married and presented her with five grandchildren. Each grandchild was placed into her arms and she shared many hugs.
Then after 42 years married to her soulmate, she laid him to rest
Through the next 12 years, the five grandchildren presented her with 4 great-grandchildren as she approached her 70’s.
Her journey was completed in November 2018 knowing in her heart her family was strong survivors. She had completed her promises to God on that long night before surgery.
Although goodbyes are hard, we are proud of her accomplishments.
You can keep up with my book and short stories of this amazing woman right here at Books and Short Stories. She was one amazingly strong woman and role model. Life will be different for this daughter who was a caregiver from an immature age.

Yes I know, there isn’t any sadness here, all of her children and grandchildren are believers and know we will see them again.
