Welcome To My New Adventure

New life during midlife!

Welcome to my new adventure! Wow, midlife, I’m sure like myself if you’re in this stage of life there are changes all the time. Some are exciting & some are downright scary.  Those changes are what we will explore together in this blog.

Exploring Changes During Midlife:

  • Spouses Disability and Illness
  • Redecorating the Cozy Condo
  • Learning to live in a community
  • Learning to be on my own

Spouses Disability and Illness:

My scariest change in life right now is my husband of almost 34 years is disabled, on oxygen, and the last stages of a disease called COPD.  Since his disability started about four years ago, we have downsized twice.  From a 10 room home on seven acres to a small apartment in town and now we have purchased a condo in a Community

Redecorating, Community Living:

Redecorating the Cozy Condo to be comfortable and welcoming! Learning to live in a community after raising the family in the country. Also, learning to be on my own before the good Lord takes my spouse home.

Welcome To My New Adventure:

So, the first adventure, doing some remodeling of the Cozy Condo. Also learning to live in a community. I predict living in a community will be harder on my spouse than myself. Due to the fact, he is used to country living and myself I was raised in the city.

I have learned to do things, go places on my own. Although after 33 years that is strange and at times very lonely. Also, have learned I am a strong woman and a survivor.
